Wet weather is likely for his coronation during the morning in London

Meanwhile, back in 1953, Queen Elizabeths coronation was a washout in the capital

And in Wishaw it wasn't much better, bare in mind it was June 2nd.

Temperatures struggled to a maximum of 13.4°c in a brisk northerly breeze

But at least there were spells of sunshine here, the showers held back until the evening.
